These are the terms you agree to when you buy a reading from me. The section on cancellations is the one worth reading properly — it decides when you can get your money back.
Who you are buying from
Emily Mangan, trading as Emily's Tarot Readings. I am a sole trader working online from County Offaly, Ireland. Every reading is delivered over WhatsApp or by video call.
Contact: hello@emilystarotreadings.com — this is the fastest way to reach me, and I answer everything myself.
What you are buying
Tarot readings, between €38 and €50. The price you see is the price you pay — it includes any tax that applies, and there are no booking fees added at checkout.
- Recorded readings are drawn for you, recorded, and sent to your WhatsApp number as images and audio within six weeks. They are yours to keep and listen back to.
- Live video readings are booked by choosing a time from my calendar and paying at that point. Your slot is held for you while you pay and confirmed once the payment completes. They run 45 minutes, and the video link arrives with your confirmation email.
You must be 18 or over
By ordering you confirm you are at least 18. I do not read for children.
What a reading is — and what it is not
Readings are for guidance and entertainment. They are not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and nothing I say should replace a professional who is qualified to help you. I cannot promise a particular outcome, and every decision you make afterwards stays yours.
I will be honest with you rather than tell you what you want to hear. That is the point of the work — but it also means a reading is not always comfortable.
If you are struggling with your mental health, please talk to a doctor or a support service. A reading is not a substitute for that, and I would rather lose the sale than have you rely on one instead.
Cancellations and refunds
Live video readings
Reschedule or cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before your appointment — there is a link to do it in your confirmation email, so you do not need to ask me.
Inside 24 hours the fee is not refundable. The time was held for you and cannot be filled at that notice. If something serious happens, tell me anyway — I would rather move your sitting than keep money from someone having a bad week.
Recorded readings
Recorded readings are made individually for you, which changes your cancellation rights. Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive you normally have 14 days to withdraw from something bought online. That right does not apply to goods or services made to your own specification, and it ends for digital content once the work has begun with your agreement.
So: by ordering a recorded reading you are asking me to start work straight away, and you accept that your 14-day right to withdraw ends once I have drawn your cards. You are told this above the payment button as well as here.
Before I draw, you can cancel for a full refund simply by emailing me. If you have changed your mind, say so quickly and it is no trouble.
If something goes wrong
None of the above affects your statutory rights. If a reading never arrives, arrives unusable, or is plainly not what was described, tell me and I will re-record it or refund you. I would rather fix it than argue about it.
Getting your reading to you
Recorded readings go to the WhatsApp number you enter at checkout. Please check that number carefully. If it is wrong I cannot deliver, and once a reading has been recorded I cannot refund it for that reason — the work is already done.
If six weeks pass and nothing has arrived, email me. It will be a mistake, not a policy.
Payment
PayPal handles every payment, whether you have an account with them or pay by card through their checkout. I never see or store your card details.
Your privacy
What you tell me stays between us. It is never published, repeated or used as an example. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is kept and for how long.
Complaints
Email me first — almost everything is sorted out in one message. These terms are governed by Irish law. If we cannot resolve it between us, as an EU consumer you can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
